In 2017 I was selected to be a Global Health Film Fellow. My wonderful team (Emma, Sophia, Khalid) and I, with tremendous support from professional filmmakers WhatTookYouSoLong, created a short film that was premiered at the Global Health Film Festival at the Barbican, London. Armed with zero budget, a weekend's training, a DSLR and tons of enthusiasm, we did it entirely from scratch in a week, sourcing our own story and real-life characters while juggling our medical day jobs.
